Commencement is always a joyful time for graduates and their families. Nursing students are famously festive during the ceremony, often bringing their own confetti to throw in the air!

Students perform a dance number in the show Pippin. Our drama department puts on several breathtaking main stage productions each year for the whole University community to enjoy.

Our Catholic faith is at the center of our identity and brings us together each year in the Mass of the Holy Spirit, a Mass that opens the academic year in prayer.

�� is home to 23 varsity sports, including the varsity men's and women's rowing teams, which can be found practicing on the water in the early mornings at nearby waterways.

�� is proud of its ROTC students and boasts a thriving ROTC program.

Each Lent, students gather for candlelit Stations of the Cross organized by Campus Ministry.

Our University musicians host several concerts throughout the year and invite others to admire the beauty and explore the depths of musical traditions.

It is common to see clergy and consecrated religious walking on campus and participating in campus life. Many clergy and religious are professors, students, or staff members at the University.

Each year, Campus Ministry hosts Halloween on Campus. Students dress up in costumes and volunteer to host games and trick-or-treating for young D.C. families.

Prayer is our backbone. With several daily Masses and chapels that remain open throughout the day, there is always an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to bring their daily needs and thanksgivings to God.

As the only University founded by the U.S. bishops, the archbishop of Washington, D.C., serves as our chancellor. Here, current Chancellor Cardinal Wilton Gregory incenses the crucifix at our annual Mass of the Holy Spirit.
