  • Thesis: Students must complete a thesis, with at least three successive semesters of thesis guidance.
  • Comprehensive Examination: A comprehensive examination based on a booklist provided by the School of Theology and Religious Studies.

Language Requirements

  • Greek: Six credits of Greek beyond elementary and intermediate levels.
  • Hebrew: Six credits of Hebrew beyond introductory courses.
  • Latin: A reading knowledge of Latin.
  • Modern Language: Reading knowledge of either French or German.
