’s Office of Campus Activities will take over the University Lawn for Cardinalpalooza Friday, an annual end-of-the-year student celebration.
The event will feature rides, games, a live band performance, and food from local restaurants including Roaming Rooster and Swizzler. These elements reward students for working diligently throughout the semester.
The live music will be played by a band called 33Black. Based in Nevada, the band performs alternative rock with a summer and country feel. Perfect for students looking to put themselves in a relaxed summer mindset as they approach their end-of-semester departure from .
The event will also feature raffles for students that include a “Beach Day Prize Bundle,” a “Get Outside Prize Bundle,” and an “Around the World Prize Bundle”
David Moretti planned the day’s entertainment and said, “33Black is a perfect band to put students in the summer mindset. Our event is also full of other fun opportunities for students to interact with their peers, friends, and fellow community members.”
MacKenzie Garrity, assistant director of The Office of Campus Activities says that “Cardinalpalooza is the end-of-the-year campus-wide event where the main focus is to bring together the campus community to celebrate all of the accomplishments of the school year while also decompressing before preparing for finals week. This is the first year that OCA is hosting the event, so we have been working so hard to make this the best Cardinalpalooza ever.”
